CHICKASHA – After spending four years on the Drover softball team, Senior Chancie Godwin isn’t ready to make it a part of her past.

“It’s been good. There’s been a lot of memories,” she said. “A lot of jokes within in the team. We’ve had a lot of fun.”

The pitcher is out of eligibility and will only be able to stay on as a graduate assistant until she graduates in the fall.

“I hope to get to work with the pitchers some,” she said. “We’ll have all new pitchers next year. All our pitchers are graduating.”

Her senior year at USAO has been a tough one for the team, but something has clicked in the last month that’s brought the team more success and more victories.

“We’ve had a rough time, but it’s coming together recently,” Godwin said. “It’s nice to win.”
