Head Coach Jenn White-Cody has been working with the softball team since August, teaching them the fundamentals, and of course, learning about each other.

“I think a lot of (the adjustment) comes through practice,” she said. “I’m more laid back than what they’re used to, that took … them the hardest to get used to.”

“We’ve adjusted well together, I think,” she added.

White-Cody, a Tuttle native and former Division I hitting pitcher for Florida State University, took her first assistant coaching job in Minnesota after graduation.

“It was a great opportunity for me to go right out of college to coach (Division I) right away,” she said.

After moving on and spending two years as an assistant coach at North Texas University, White-Cody found her way back to her home state and USAO for her first head coach position.

“For me, it’s a perfect fit,” she said. “(I) can still coach competitive softball because our conference is awesome.”
