Two Lady Drovers were named basketball All-Conference athletes in the Sooner Athletic Conference this week.

Basketball season at USAO may have wrapped up, but the coaches are busy gathering more young talent to bring to the university.

The Drovers were unable to top the high-ranked Bison, despite tough efforts by both teams.

The Lady Drovers struggled against conference-rivals No. 6 Oklahoma City on Thursday night but managed to shoot 81 percent from the line and grab 31 rebounds.

The Lady Drovers kept it close against RSU, going into half down by two, but weren't able to take the lead at the end.

When former women’s basketball coach Jay Niehues brought a graduating senior from Cushing to tour the university, she found where she fit, and where she wanted to play basketball.

Can’t make it to Lubbock, Texas, on Thursday to watch your USAO Drovers play basketball?

It was a tale of two halves Saturday night against Northwestern Oklahoma State University and one Drover team earned a victory.

The USAO basketball games against Oklahoma City University have been rescheduled for Feb. 22. The games will tip off with the women at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8 p.m.

The games were tentatively rescheduled for Feb. 8, but after further consideration, they were moved to later in the month.

Both Drover and Lady Drover games came down to the wire Wednesday night, and USAO could not pull out the victory either time.
