CHICKASHA –  The John Brown Golden Eagles bested the Drovers -- despite strong efforts by the USAO women -- in a Satuday afternoon contest.

The Drover women started off with a strong lead but were unable to keep it up against the Eagles and fell 65-56.

Junior Tashina Ototivo had 16 points in the game, including nine from beyond the arc. She also had five rebounds and three steals.

CHICKASHA – Having won their last two home games and feeling a potential momentum switch for the Drover women, senior Liberty Payne said maintains a positive attitude about the rest of the season.

“We are in a tough conference and anything can happen any night, so we just have to stay positive and working hard,” she said.

CHICKASHA – Dr. Jeannette Loutsch and USAO’s Colleges Against Cancer decided to raise awareness of cancer and its devastating effects.

In 2011, she took it a step farther and decided to raise enough money to purchase pink uniforms for the Drover basketball women to don each year at the Pink Game. In February of 2011, she achieved that goal.

CHICKASHA – The season may very well be turning around for the Drover women, who earned another conference win in front of a home crowd in Saturday afternoon's contest against Saint Gregory's.

The women trailed most of the first half, but entered halftime up by six. Coming out fierce, the Drovers maintained a lead for most of the remainder of the game.

CHICKASHA — The Drover women took it down to the wire before earning a needed conference and home win in the Saturday contest against Oklahoma Christian.

The game was back and forth the entire 40 minutes as the Drovers battled for the lead. The score was tied seven times and the lead changed 11. The game was tied at 71 all with 1:44 left.

CHICKASHA — The No. 17 Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps were just too much for the Drovers on Monday afternoon at the USAO Fieldhouse.

Liberty Payne again led the Drover women in scoring with 18 points and eight rebounds. She went seven for 13 from the field — including three three-pointers — and made one free throw.

CHICKASHA — The USAO women found themselves battling for a conference win with Wayland Baptist on Saturday afternoon in a game that saw the first Drover double double of the season.

Senior Liberty Payne grabbed 13 points and 12 rebounds — her first double double at USAO and the team’s first of the season — in the 71-56 defeat. But it was sophomore Paige Pulliam who was the team’s leading scorer with 17 points in game.

In Saturday afternoon's conference game against the No. 16 Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm, the Drover women fought tough before falling in the second half.

CHICKASHA -- Despite a late rally, the Drover women didn't find success in their second SAC game of the season and fell 69-56.

In the last five minutes of the game, the Drovers closed the gap by 10 points but could not overcome the Evangels.

Sophomore Paige Pulliam was the Drovers leading scorer with 18 points in the game. Alaria Waddle had another 14 for the Drovers.

CHICKASHA – Facing tough competitors in their conference opener, the Drovers teams struggled against No. 3 Oklahoma City Stars on Thursday night at the USAO Fieldhouse.

It was an Oklahoma City show as the Stars defeated the Drovers 98-44. OCU has defeated four of their five opponents by 50 points each.
