Drover women top the Chaps

CHICKASHA – The Drover women continue with best start in the program's history with another conference win on Saturday.

Junior Calli Cooper may have been the star of the show Saturday afternoon, scoring both of USAO’s goals in the 2-1 win over the Chaps.

She scored the first goal 10 minutes into the game to give the Drovers an early lead. Before the half was over, the Drovers gave up a goal and entered halftime tied.

The teams battled most of the second half before Cooper knocked in the second goal with just five minutes left in regulation.

Sophomore Addie Tipton had three saves in the game.

The Drovers move to 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

It was USAO’s first ever Pink Game. Players and fans alike wore pink to show support for cancer awareness.

The Drovers finish their home stand on Tuesday against Rogers State. Game begins at 1 p.m.
