CHICKASHA – The Drover women soccer team looked to be heading to their third overtime game of the year when a goal by Friends University sealed the victory for the Falcons in the Tuesday night game.

Falcon Meagen Beals, who had three shots on the game, with two being saved by USAO goalkeeper Addie Lee, scored the game-winning goal.

The Drovers (0-4) had the advantage all night with the shot count, but ultimately fell off a set piece that went over the head of the goalkeeper. The leader for USAO in shots was junior Jade Ovendale, who had seven of the 16 Drover shots.

The defense for the Drovers was spot on as they held the Falcons to only nine shots for the game.

Lee had four saves on the evening, which brings her total on the season to 42 after four games of the 2013 season.

Junior Linda Addo had three shots on the game with one being a shot on the goal for the Drovers.

The Drovers are on the quest for win no. 1 of the 2013 campaign as they come back home against McPherson College. The game is set for noon on Sept. 14 at Drover Pitch.

The Drovers will also have a back-to-back matchup against Bethel University on Sept. 15 set for noon at Drover Pitch.

USAO will broadcast this game via live streaming on the school’s athletic site.
