CHICKASHA – A win and a tie in the final two games of the season secured the Drovers’ spot at second in the conference going into the conference tournament.

Winning the conference tournament would send the Drovers to the NAIA National Tournament for the second time in school history.

The Drovers will host seventh-seed Lubbock Christian in the first round at 2 p.m. Friday. USAO battled LCU just last week in Lubbock, finishing tied 1-1 after two overtime periods.

Second seed is the highest the Drover women have been going into the conference tournament.

If they win, the Drovers have the opportunity to host the second round as well, which will take place on Monday afternoon. They will face the winner of Mid-America Christian at Oklahoma Baptist.

The conference championship will take place on Thursday with the higher seed hosting. The winner of the tournament will receive an invitation to the NAIA National Tournament.

The Drovers are in a great situation, especially after starting 0-4 on the season. They now sit at 10-6-1 and 5-2-1 in SAC action.
