CHICKASHA – For the ninth year in a row, the USAO Drover soccer program is giving regional youth the chance to experience a concentrated soccer environment while living on USAO’s campus.
USAO Team Residential Soccer Camp will be July 11-14 with check in times between 9-11 a.m. that first day. Attendees will train with USAO coaches doing various soccer drills and play games against one another.
Individual cost this year is just $350. Cost includes meals, three nights of lodging, a T-shirt, a USAO soccer ball and a written evaluation. Team rates also are available, and include $275 per player for teams of 18, $305 per player for teams of 16, and $325 per player for teams of 15.
Registration this year will be strictly online at http://link.usao.edu/REScampREG and includes a processing fee. Students registering for the camp should be sure to complete the medical forms, preferred roommate and fill out T-shirt and ball size on the website before submitting their registration.
Coach Jimmy Hampton, camp director, has led the USAO men’s and women’s soccer teams since the inception of programs in 1998 and has coached the Drovers to 20 winning seasons since then. Most recently, the men’s team competed in the NAIA National Tournament Quarterfinals in the 2010 season.
“This camp will help you realize your goals and allow you to leave camp better equipped to take your game to the next level,” Hampton said.
Numerous NCAA Division I and NAIA athletes are former USAO campers, including 2009 All-American and USAO junior Calli Cooper.
“USAO camp gave me the opportunity to improve as a player in a short period,” Cooper said. “Participating in games every evening made the camp a great experience.”
