CHICKASHA – After a helping lead the back line all season, highlighted with a shutout in the Sooner Athletic Conference Quarterfinals, Gabby Barros was named the SAC’s final Defensive Player of the Week.
The defender has been instrumental all season in helping the Drovers achieve a 13-5 overall record and the program’s first SAC Semifinal appearance after the quarterfinal win on Saturday.
CHICKASHA – Epitomizing student-athlete, three USAO Drover soccer players were named Capitol One Academic All-District on Friday.
To earn the honor, athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher, be at least of sophomore status and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games. One Drover man, Niall Crick, and two Drover women, Leslie Bross and Gabby Barros, earned the honor.
CHICKASHA – Continuing their strong season, the Drover women move on to the SAC Semifinals for the first time in school history after a hard-earned win 1-0 over Mid-America Christian on Saturday afternoon.
The Drovers will move on to play at 7 p.m. at Southern Nazarene on Tuesday. SNU advanced over John Brown in penalty kicks.

CHICKASHA – It’s been another strong season for Coach Jimmy Hampton and his Drover women, as they have been invited to the SAC tournament yet again and will host the opening round this season.
The Drover women (12-5, 7-4) finished near the top of the SAC this year, coming in with the third seed and hosting Mid-America Christian at 2 p.m. Saturday. Earlier this season, the Drovers defeated MACU 1-0 at home.
CHICKASHA – The Drover women had a tough time against the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm, who remain undefeated in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
After giving up two quick goals, the Drovers responded with two goals in eight minutes to tie to the game before halftime. Both goals were by Calli Cooper and Taylor Fain earned her 30th career assist on one of those.

CHICKASHA – The Drovers battled tough against the Wayland Baptist Pioneers, pulling off a late win Thursday afternoon.
The women fought a tough game, dominating in shots (22-8) but battling for a goal. The game went scoreless for 75 minutes before Leslie Bross scored USAO’s only goal of the game off an assist by Taylor Fain.
