CHICKASHA – For the second year in a row, Drover soccer has teamed up with Drovers Against Cancer to bring fans the Pink Out Cancer soccer game, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
For the game, which will be against Mid-America Christian, both men’s and women’s soccer teams will don pink uniforms in an effort to raise awareness. Kick off for the men is at 2 p.m., and the women will follow at 4 p.m.
CHICKASHA – Coming in as a freshman at the height of the program, Ryah Vyse is excited to continue the women’s soccer success this year.
“For the team, I’d love to get to nationals like they did last year,” she said. “I’ve heard so many stories of it being a great experience and stuff. It would be good for the team, and it shows our hard work has paid off.”
While the season started off rough, the Drovers have won...
CHICKASHA – It’s been 40 years of blood, sweat and tears. Forty years of struggles and forty years of success. Forty years of Shining Moments.
USAO will celebrate its 40th Anniversary of Drover Athletics in first weekend of November. Registration, which is just $65 for a weekend full of events, is open currently, but prices will increase in less than two weeks. The deadline for early bird registration is Sept. 30.
CHICKASHA – The Drover women’s soccer team still has high hopes for the season, despite a less than stellar start to the season.
“It was kind of rough. We didn’t really get the results we wanted. It wasn’t really that we were playing bad, but we just didn’t find a way to win yet,” said Megan Wilkerson, a sophomore defender. “I think we’ve finally started to click as a team.”
