CHICKASHA– The Drovers have been looking for win number one in the SAC for weeks and have received the win with a 5-2 victory at Saint Gregory’s.

CHICKASHA – With the Drover women’s soccer season starting off less than ideal, senior Lauren Carter said that just makes the team want to work harder and follow through with all 90 minutes of a game.

‘It’s definitely been a rough start. Our record doesn’t really reflect us as a team I feel like,” Carter said. “We are really trying to come together as a team and finish the game strong and get another win.”

CHICKASHA – Donning pink uniforms in the third annual Pink Out Cancer game, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma couldn’t get an edge over the Golden Eagles and fell 3-1.

The game ended in a fairly even shot count, with USAO (1-8, 0-3) recording 14 shots, seven of which were on goal, and JBU (7-3, 2-1) notching seven shots on goal out of a total 16 shots.

CHICKASHA – Drovers Against Cancer and the USAO soccer teams will host their third annual Pink Out Cancer soccer games, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon against John Brown.

For the game, both men’s and women’s soccer teams will don pink uniforms in an effort to raise awareness. Kick off for the women is at 1 p.m. with the men following at 3 p.m.

CHICKASHA – Despite doubling the Lady Pioneers shot count on Tuesday afternoon, the Drovers fell to Wayland Baptist in a conference game at Drover Pitch.

The Lady Pioneers (7-3, 2-0), who top the Sooner Athletic Conference, scored three goals — all in the first half — to best the Drovers (1-7, 0-2) with a final score of 3-1.
