CHICKASHA – Redshirt freshman Linda Addo was named the final Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer on Monday afternoon.

Addo helped the Drovers win the SAC Quarterfinals by scoring both the Drovers’ goals in the 2-1 win over Lubbock Christian.

She finished the season with the team high of 15 goals. She had two hat tricks and four multiple-goal games on the season.

CHICKASHA – Oklahoma Baptist will move on to play in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship game after ending the Drovers’ season with a 4-1 victory in the Semifinals on Monday afternoon.

The score doesn’t accurately reflect the back-and-forth battle of the game. Both teams shot 21 times for the game with a 10-9 shot on goal count in favor of the Bison.

CHICKASHA – After 90 minutes of tough battling, the Drover women came out on top in the Friday afternoon Sooner Athletic Conference Quarterfinal game against Lubbock Christian.

Taking on the seventh-seeded Lady Chaps, second-seed USAO saw success late in the game, grabbing two in the second half while giving up just one to win the game 2-1 and continue their season.

CHICKASHA – A win and a tie in the final two games of the season secured the Drovers’ spot at second in the conference going into the conference tournament.

Winning the conference tournament would send the Drovers to the NAIA National Tournament for the second time in school history.

CHICKASHA – In the summer of 2008, Annie Zoch made one of the toughest — and consequently one of the best — decisions of her life.

Zoch, from Mannford, turned down a scholarship from Oklahoma State University and instead decided to attend USAO.

“I originally chose USAO because my sister already was there,” Zoch said. “I am so glad that I did, my college experience was better than I ever imagined it could be.”

CHICKASHA – The Drovers went back and forth with Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday afternoon before taking the final goal to give USAO an important conference win.

With the win, the Drovers (9-6) are now 4-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference and well on their way to another conference tournament.

CHICKASHA – Linda Addo scored her second hat trick of the season on the way to a USAO win over Mid-America Christian on Tuesday afternoon at Drover Pitch.

Addo had her hand in all four goals for the Drovers in the game. After being part of a double assist to Megan Wilkerson in the team’s first goal, Addo went on to score three in a row in the second half. Vanessa Yates is credited with the other assist in the first goal.

CHICKASHA – For the second year in a row, Drover soccer has teamed up with Drovers Against Cancer to bring fans the Pink Out Cancer soccer game, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

For the game, which will be against Mid-America Christian, both men’s and women’s soccer teams will don pink uniforms in an effort to raise awareness. Kick off for the men is at 2 p.m., and the women will follow at 4 p.m.

CHICKASHA – Coming in as a freshman at the height of the program, Ryah Vyse is excited to continue the women’s soccer success this year.

“For the team, I’d love to get to nationals like they did last year,” she said. “I’ve heard so many stories of it being a great experience and stuff. It would be good for the team, and it shows our hard work has paid off.”

CHICKASHA – The Drovers continue to prove they are a soccer force to be reckoned with as they came back from a deficit to overtake Rogers State in overtime on Tuesday afternoon at Drover Pitch.

While the Drovers had six shots to RSU’s three in the first half, the beginning of the game didn’t go USAO’s way. The Drovers gave up a goal and went into halftime trailing 1-0.
