The 2011 Drover women won the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship and represented the university in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round against No. 4 Point Loma Nazarene in San Diego, Calif.

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – For the first time in school history, both Drover soccer teams have made it into the 2011 NAIA Soccer National Championship Opening Round, and USAO is offering a chance to watch them both in action right in Chickasha.
In the women’s first trip to nationals, they drew No. 4 Point Loma Nazarene, based out of San Diego, Calif. The Drovers kick off at 1 p.m. central standard time on Saturday.
CHICKASHA – With both teams qualifying for the national tournament, the Drovers have six days to prepare for their 2011 NAIA National Championship Opening Round opponents after the brackets were released Sunday night.
“We are excited about the opportunity,” Hampton said. “Both teams drew quality opponents, but it’s what we expect in the final 32. We will work hard this week to do our very best.”
