CHICKASHA – The Drovers continue to prove they are a soccer force to be reckoned with as they came back from a deficit to overtake Rogers State in overtime on Tuesday afternoon at Drover Pitch.

While the Drovers had six shots to RSU’s three in the first half, the beginning of the game didn’t go USAO’s way. The Drovers gave up a goal and went into halftime trailing 1-0.

CHICKASHA – Having completely turned their season around, the Drover women had no problem overtaking Friends University on Friday afternoon, beating the Falcons 6-1.

CHICKASHA – Opening conference play on Thursday afternoon, the Drover women went on to shut out Saint Gregory’s with a 4-0 win at home.

CHICKASHA – The Drover women had no problem earning their fourth victory in a row on Friday afternoon against the Bethany College Swedes.

The Drovers knocked in seven unanswered goals, shutting out Bethany College 7-0 and outshooting the Swedes 32-7.

USAO will celebrate its 40th Anniversary of Drover Athletics in first weekend of November. Registration, which is just $65 for a weekend full of events, is open currently, but prices will increase in less than two weeks. The deadline for early bird registration is Sept. 30.

CHICKASHA – The Drover women’s soccer team still has high hopes for the season, despite a less than stellar start to the season.

“It was kind of rough. We didn’t really get the results we wanted. It wasn’t really that we were playing bad, but we just didn’t find a way to win yet,” said Megan Wilkerson, a sophomore defender. “I think we’ve finally started to click as a team.”

CHICKASHA – Two weeks before classes begin, USAO soccer players stepped foot on campus and have been focusing on fitness and tactical work in daily workouts to prepare for the big opening of the 2012 season.
