Biography

Jim Hopkins is the Database Administrator at USAO. He has been a member of the staff since 2002. Jim received the USAO Staff Achievement Award for the fourth quarter of 2003-2004, the fourth quarter of 2007-08 and was named the winner of the 2007-08 Staff Achievement Award for the year.

Before coming to USAO, Jim was a Senior Manager-Engineering for SBC Advanced Solutions, a Manager for Intelligent Network Systems for Southwestern Bell Telephone and a Manager for Transmission Engineering for Southwestern Bell Telephone.

Jim is a part of the Office of Information Services and Technology at USAO. The team is responsible for administrative computer services, academic computer services, institutional research and assessment, telephone system maintenance and support and help desk support.
