USAO Orientation (IDS - 1001) is an innovative and exciting campus-style class that will assist you with your transition into the USAO community. The purpose of this course is to welcome and introduce you to many aspects of campus life including: academics, student life, co-curricular activities, diversity, and how to achieve college success.
Orientation consists of: Orientation Week & Weekly Fall Trimester Classes
*All sessions during the week and the fall trimester are required for class credit.
- Orientation Week begins at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20th and concludes with Matriculation on Thursday, August 23rd.
- Orientation Weekly Fall Trimester Classes will meet once a week at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays
- Residence Hall Move-in Day (new students only): Saturday August 18th
- Parent/Family Orientation: Saturday August 18th

PARENT/FAMILY ORIENTATION (Ballroom, Student Center 2nd floor)
Saturday August 18th at 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Join us for a brief presentation for parents and families. Learn about the resources and services USAO has to offer. Got questions?
Parents and families will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Refreshments will be served.
