The purpose of an orientation is to welcome new students and assist them with their transition into the USAO community. As an Orientation Leader, you will have the opportunity to gain practical leadership experience, represent USAO in a positive atmosphere, demonstrate your Drover Pride, and help the incoming students become familiar with our academic and campus resources.
 

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Must be a current USAO student in good academic and judicial standing 
  • Demonstrate service, leadership, and involvement at USAO and/or community
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals
  • Must take initiative, follow instructions, be flexible and punctual
  • Participate in all orientation days and trainings
  • Help with move-in days
  • Assist with planning and coordinating orientation activities and programs
  • Set-up and clean-up during orientation days
  • Keep on-going relationship with their Droves
  • Organize and facilitate the attendance of orientation sessions
  • Attend all mandatory scheduled dates

  Mandatory Dates:  

  • Training Days: August 18 - 20
  • Orientation Days: August 21 - 24
  • Other dates to be announced by orientation committee
