Every child loves to sing, clap, dance and make rhythms on whatever is at hand. Elementary school music teachers can receive specialized training in turning these natural human impulses into a lifelong love for music in their students at a special workshop scheduled for Saturday Oct. 29, 2011, at the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha.
The workshop is sponsored by the Oklahoma chapter of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) and the USAO music department.
Weber’s Composition Concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on November 3 in the Alumni Chapel.

The Concert Choir will open its program with two early music selections – one by Renaissance composer Pierre Certon, which will feature flute and percussion, and a second, titled “Gaudete,” which is based on a sacred chant.
Alumni Thomas Green, Ashton House and Gregg Standridge will return to USAO as presenters for the second annual Music Career Day.
