USAO Student-Donor Reception

If you have already received and responded to Student-Donor Reception materials, please disregard this email.

The USAO named scholarship program is not just about helping you fund your education. It also is about helping you connect with the donors who contribute to our scholarship program. We want you to meet the people behind the funding and we want our contributors to know who their money is helping. With that in mind, we need you to attend our Student-Donor Scholarship reception on Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. at Dusty's in the Student Center. Questions? Please call our office at (405) 574-1290.

Student/Donor Reception -- If you are unable to attend, please contact our office at (405) 574-1290 immediately. Please make every effort to attend. Dress is formal (banquet dress) and we will take your photo at the event. Check in will be in the Second Floor Student Center Lobby, at 5:00pm on Friday, November 1, 2013.  Refreshments will be served. While at the reception, we encourage you to find your donor and talk with him, her or them.

Green and Gold Scholarship Banquet (OPTIONAL) -- Immediately following the reception is the Green and Gold Scholarship Banquet at 6:30 p.m. This event is designed for donors and alumni, but you are welcome to attend (sign-up below). Your meal will be free. Any guests will need to pay $15 and register in advance.

FYI -- For those of you who have received named scholarships in the past, this is a new format this year. You will not receive a scholarship certificate and you will not be required to attend the banquet, but we would like to see you at the reception. You do not need to have a photo taken in advance in the Communications and Marketing Office.

Additional Events -- In addition to the scholarship banquet, you are also invited to attend a singing on the steps immediately after the banquet on the Troutt Hall Steps. This is an old tradition that is a lot of fun! From there, you are invited to attend a reception in the Alumni House. You are not required to attend these events, but encourage to spend this time with our alumni.

You are important ambassadors for the college to our alumni. Although we probably have more requirements than other scholarships, but it is important to build these relationships for future scholarship giving. Please print this page if necessary.
