Biography
Catelyn Perry is the Director of Counseling, Disability and Career Services. She has
been a member of the USAO staff since 2013. Since that time she has also continued
her education to become a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Catelyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. She spent the
first 2.5 years of her career working as a therapist at a group home for troubled
teens in DHS custody. Her experience includes working with individuals with depression,
anxiety, drug and alcohol related problems, severe emotional/ physical/sexual abuse,
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and mood disorders.
Catelyn is part of the Student Services department which is responsible for housing,
career services, counseling services, disability services, health services, orientation,
recreation, student development and security.
Apart from USAO, Catelyn is passionate about the funeral service industry and enjoys
her work as a contract embalmer for several funeral homes. She also teaches online
courses for Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. Catelyn likes to be around family
and friends, hang out with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Lola, cycle, craft,
scuba dive, be active in church, and travel when she can.
