Kenneth Bohannon Professor of Music, Music Department Coordinator
Dr. Kenneth Bohannon is the Professor of Music and the Music Department Coordinator at USAO. He has been a full-time member of the USAO faculty since 1995 and he also serves on the Academic Integrity Univeristy committee.
He has performed as a soloist in opera, oratorio and choral works throughout his career. He has sung professionally with the Cincinnati Opera, Knoxville Opera, Chattanooga Opera and Tulsa Opera. He has performed over twenty opera, musical theatre, and operetta roles in his career as a student and professional. A long time member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, he has served as Auditions Chair and Governor of the Oklahoma District of NATS. He has been a faculty member at USAO since 1995. Before coming USAO, he was an adjunct instructor at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas; an adjunct instructor at Arkansas State University-Gateway Technical College and an adjunct voice instructor at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
In addition to his teaching duties at USAO, he is the coordinator of the Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series and director of the USAO Jazz Ensemble. He has performed recitals at USAO, Lyon College, Harding University, Indiana University, University of Tennessee and Hendrix College.
