Kelly Ross Coleman, 52, went to be with the Lord, Saturday March 16, 2013, in Liloan, Cebu Philippines. He was born in Blackwell on Sept. 30, 1960, the son of Robert and Carol Coleman.


He graduated from Braman High School in 1978 and along with a Master Plumbers license; he was an Emergency Medical Technician and received a bachelor's degree in Native American Studies from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha.


He spent a year in Korea teaching English as a second language. He returned to Ponca City for a year and in December of 2008 he moved to the Philippines. He loved the culture and the people there.


He is survived by his parents of Kaw City; one brother, Rusty Coleman and wife Jinky; one sister, Robyn Burns and husband, Buzz, all of Ponca City; two sons, Matthew of Lincoln, Neb. and Wade of Canyon City, Colo.; one daughter, Cayce of Canyon City, Colo.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ross and Marie Coleman and Riley and Vera Kelly; and one son, Adam Michael. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Free Will Baptist Church, 1900 East Hubbard Road, Ponca City. The Church Hall will be open at 1 p.m. for those who wish to visit with the family prior to the service. The family asks that any memorial funds be sent to the Arthritis Foundation for rheumatoid arthritis research
