After high school, he attended Fresno City College (now Fresno State). In November of 1965, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for 20 years, retiring in December of 1985. On April 23, 1968, he married the love of his life and wife of nearly 44 years, Sherry Lynn Pool, in Clovis, Calif. To that union his son Michael and daughter Cathleen were born. After DavidÆs retirement from the military, he worked at the Los Alamos National Lab in New Mexico where he was instrumental in the development of various technologies that, among other things, changed the way cancer is treated. In 1989, the family relocated to the Chickasha area where David obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from USAO.

He then enrolled in various distance learning classes in theology from Oklahoma Baptist University and other institutions and became a reverend around 2002. Since that time he has preached at the Resurrection House and served as the Associate Pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene.

David genuinely loved the Bible and spent hours each day studying Gods Word. He also enjoyed spending time on his computer, word puzzles, and especially time spent with his family.
