Jerry Willman -- 100 Alumni You Should Know

 

A friend of USAO graduate Jerry Willman described him as a crusader, a rocker and a warrior.

Willman found out months before his 18th birthday that he had Neurofibromatosis – a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue. For years, he helped raise funds for research, supported many with the disease and always found joy in life.

On Aug. 3, he lost his battle with the disease. The 1989 graduate was 51 years old. Willman was on the list to be interviewed as one of the USAO Alumni Association’s 100 Alumni You Should Know, but we never caught up with him for an interview.
