Oct. 1, 1927 Mar. 27, 2016 EDMOND Luan, so precious to so many, died at midnight Easter Sunday. She was 88. She and her husband, Frank, were married 67 years. Luan is also survived by her son, Brian, his wife Susan and their daughter, Emma, a Sergeant in the U.S.

Betty Jo was born to Vernie Lee and Sara Ellie Brown January 14, 1932 in Cyril, Oklahoma where she lived, graduated High School, and married Charles William Biggs of Fletcher in 1952.
Winona Clark Roberts, widow of J. Kent Roberts, died March 9, 2016, at her home. She was born June 29, 1923, in Olustee, OK to William T. Clark and Myrtle Whicker Clark, the fourth of five children. Winona is survived by her sons, Patrick Kent Roberts and wife Jeanne of Springfield, Missouri, and Michael Clark Roberts and wife Karen of Lawrence, Kansas.

Rubena Virginia Jolly Reeves, age 95, died peacefully at her home near Cache on Monday, March 7, 2016. Rubena was born on November 16, 1920 in Fletcher to Stanford Denton and Lola Johnson Jolly.
Funeral services for Isaac Edward Bradford of Minco were held Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Pocasset with Rev. Mike DeMoss of the Friendship and Minco United Methodist Church officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery southwest of Minco. Services were under direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.Mr. Bradford died Feb. 12 in Chickasha.

44 years ago in a town located in North Eastern Oklahoma, Christopher Matthew Duree was born to Rev. Billy Joe Duree and Alice Ann (Blue) Duree. He lived the first ten years of his life in Picher, Oklahoma. In 1982, after the loss of his father, Rev. Billy Joe Duree, Chris and his family moved to Del City, Oklahoma where he resided until his death.
C.J. Benway was born Dec. 27, 1925, at Bartlesville, to Cecil J. Benway Sr. and Vivian Benway Custer, and passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at the age of 90. C.J. moved to the Watonga community at the age of 12 in 1938, attending Watonga Schools. In December 1943, during Christmas break of his senior year of high school, C.J. joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17.
