Prize Winning Poet, USAO Alum Visits for March 29 Reading


 

CHICKASHA – Everyone knows that Superman is journalist Clark Kent by day. But what if the Caped Crusader wrote poetry by night? Dr. Bryan Dietrich will reveal the Man of Steel’s poetic side on March 29 when he visits the University of Science and Arts for a poetry reading.

‘Chamber Music’ Comedy Opens March 29-31 at USAO

CHICKASHA – What do Amelia Earhart, Joan of Arc, Susan B. Anthony and Queen Isabella of Spain have in common? They’re all sharing the stage March 29-31 at the University of Science and Arts in the student production, “Chamber Music.”

The one act comedy runs at 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday in the Davis Hall Little Theatre, with a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Tickets are $2 at the door.

Renowned Violinist Performs March 29, 31 at USAO


CHICKASHA – Versatile violinist and world-renowned conductor Yuval Waldman is making a special stop in Chickasha to perform and teach at the University of Science and Arts. On March 29, he’ll give a free Master Class at noon in the Alumni Chapel, followed by a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on March 31 in the Chapel.

CHICKASHA – Four students from the University of Science and Arts are joining 100 college students from across the state this weekend when the All-Collegiate Honor Chorus performs its final concert March 31.

Country Music Hall of Famer Harold Bradley Joins USAO ShowBand

 

CHICKASHA – Country guitarist Harold Bradley has recorded with Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and dozens of Nashville’s biggest and brightest stars. On April 6, he’ll add a local band to his musical résumé when he performs with the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma’s ShowBand.
