Although it’s been almost 20 years since she received her degree from USAO, Sahona Littig-Albin says she hasn’t forgotten how the college opened her mind and help prepare her for her career and life.

“I feel that my experience at USAO helped me to think critically and analyze all sides. I received an excellent education and love of learning. I hope to instil that in my students,” Littig-Albin said.

Littig-Albin earned a political science degree with a music minor from USAO in 1998. She is an elementary music teacher for Lawton (Oklahoma) Public Schools. When she isn’t in the classroom, she can be found in the theatre.

Littig-Albin sang at Carnegie Hall in 2006. This summer, she completed her directorial debut at Lawton Community Theatre directing the summer children’s theatre production of The Aristocats. She is directing The Ultimate Christmas Show Abridged with Blue Moon Productions of Lawton. The show is scheduled to open in November.

In addition to directing, Littig-Albin also has performed in Lawton Community Theatre shows including Love, Loss and What I Wore.
