Tia Euwins Murry -- 100 Alumni You Should Know

By Khassandra Hameg

Speaker, author, life coach, executive director – Tia Euwins Murry thinks big, something she says she got from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

“My education from USAO encouraged me to think big. My greatest career accomplishments occurred when I realized I can be successful as an entrepreneur,” Murry said. “I have owned and managed all aspects of a DHS 2-star facility, Sunny Beginnings Child Care & Education Center, and I continue to provide private adoption home studies for families across Oklahoma.”

Murry graduated from USAO in 1998 with a degree in English. She earned her Master’s in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. She is the executive director of the Oklahoma Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY).

“I am responsible for the care and treatment of youth and families throughout the state and manage the fiscal and contractual viability of all Oklahoma programs and services.” SAFY is a leading national nonprofit organization providing a full continuum of services for children and youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.

In addition to leading SAFY, Murry is an independent travel specialist, public speaker and writer. She is a co-author of “Fabulous New Life: 28 Women Boldly Sharing Their Transformational Journey to Creating an Extraordinary Life,” which was an Amazon Best Seller in 2015.
