CHICKASHA – The Drovers fell Tuesday afternoon at home in nine innings against the NCAA Division II Cameron University Aggies.
The Aggies came out strong, scoring three runs right off the bat. In the bottom of the first, senior Jake Dunbar scored off a single by Cody Bridgman.
In the very next inning, Dunbar singled to left field, scoring Romus Cezar, who’d earned his spot on base with a single up the middle.
The Drovers were down just 4-2 when designated hitter Brandon Jewett hit his 10th home run of the season. But USAO was not able to grab any more runs and fell to the Aggies 11-3.
Still sitting in the middle of the conference, the Drovers are 23-21 overall and 10-16 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
USAO travels to Alva to play Northwestern Oklahoma State on April 27, and then plays a three game series against Mid-America Christian University that weekend to end the regular season.
