SHAWNEE – The No. 11 Oklahoma Baptist Bison (19-0, 6-0) remain undefeated after taking two games from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (8-10, 0-6) in a Friday evening doubleheader in Shawnee.

It was the Drovers who got on the board first on Friday as Rafael Pena returned home off a double by Jaime Gurrola in the second inning. Pena went 1-for-3 in the game while Gurrola went 2-for-3.

The Bison went on to score four runs to take the 4-1 win.

Chris Fischer (2-3) pitched all six innings in Friday’s first game against the Bison, throwing three strikeouts.

The Drovers were unable to deliver on their six hits in game two, dropping 6-0.

In that game, Josh Terrell (2-2) spent 3.1 innings on the mound, throwing three strikeouts and giving up just two earned runs. Isaac Rodriguez finished the game, also throwing three strikeouts. Rodriguez didn’t allow any earned runs.

The Drovers will go on to play Roosevelt out of Illinois in Tuesday afternoon at Bill Smith Ballpark in Chickasha. The doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m.

The next conference series for USAO will be against No. 20 Texas Wesleyan. All three games will be at Bill Smith Ballpark. The first game, set for 3 p.m. Friday is a nine-inning game. Saturday will feature a doubleheader beginning at noon.
