CHICKASHA – Both Drover baseball and softball programs have teamed up with USAO’s Drovers Against Cancer to host the annual Pink Out Cancer games this weekend at Bill Smith Ballpark.
This is the third year the Drover softball team has had such a game and the second year for USAO’s baseball team. Drovers Against Cancer has organized a pink game for soccer and basketball already this school year.
Donning pink uniforms, both Drover teams will take on Saint Gregory’s, a conference opponent, in a doubleheader. Baseball will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, while softball will play at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Fans from both schools are encouraged to wear pink to form a united front against cancer. Drovers Against Cancer will be selling all-sport t-shirts, long sleeved shirts and sweaters at the game.
The organization also will sell concessions during the games. For just $5, fans can get a hot dog, a bag of chips and a bottle of water, said Dr. Jeannette Loutsch, the organization’s sponsor.
