CHICKASHA – For the second year in a row, the USAO baseball and softball programs will host a four-man team golf scramble as a fun community gathering and athletic fundraiser.

The scramble, schedule for 8 a.m. Aug. 27 at Fort Cobb State Park Golf Course, is open to the public. Registration is $65 for an individual or $260 for a team of four. Prices increase by $15 per person after Aug. 15. The cost includes breakfast and lunch.

Baseball coach Mike Ross said roughly 70 people turned out for last year’s golf scramble and attendees all had a good time.

“That’s one of the reasons we’re doing it again because people enjoyed it so much,” Ross said.

The tournament is a way to raise money for USAO’s baseball and softball programs. The programs hope to build a combined indoor hitting facility soon.
