CHICKASHA – Despite scoring three runs, the Drovers couldn't overtake the No. 18 Hillcats on Saturday afternoon.

The Hillcats quickly took the lead, and the Drovers were not able to recover. USAO scored its first run in the bottom of the fifth when Brandon Jewett batted in Nolan Crowdus, who was pinch running for catcher Owen Adams.

In the next inning, the Drovers got two more. First, Adams singled to right field to bring home Zach Gonzalez. Then, Romus Cezar scored off a sacrifice fly by Konrad Mueller.

The Drovers ended up falling 15-3 in seven innings. They will finish the series Sunday afternoon in Claremore.

The Drovers are 15-14 overall and 6-8 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Their next home game is next Saturday as USAO takes on Oklahoma Christian in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
