CHICKASHA – As a senior with Drover baseball, Jake Dunbar is ready to see the team in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. Another few good series’ will get them there.

“The final goal is to make the conference tournament so right now, it’s looking good,” he said. “We just need to get our job done here at the end of the year, and hopefully we’ll be there at the end.”

After a bit of a slide mid-season, the Drovers had a strong 22-0 victory over Hillsdale Free Will Baptist. The win was a necessary upper to prepare for USAO’s next conference series: No. 19 Lubbock Christian.

“I think everyone’s swing is looking good, everyone is feeling good. That’s what we need going into Lubbock,” Dunbar said.

After a three-game series against LCU, the Drovers have two nine-inning games against Northwestern Oklahoma State, a single nine-inning game against Cameron and a three-game series against Mid-America Christian to close out the regular season.
