CHICKASHA– The spring brings a ton of action for Drover sports as fans get an opportunity to see the Sooner Athletic Conference postseason race heat up in basketball while watching the beginning of baseball and softball season, bringing new opponents and familiar non-conference foes.

Since August, fans who couldn’t make it out to USAO could enjoy the game via live broadcasts online, but with three spots in session and the capability to only stream one sport at a time, the spring events, which often overlap, will be scheduled with several opportunities to view each sport.

At the beginning of the season, USAO athletics and sports information announced live video streaming for all sports.

So far to date Drover fans have enjoyed the service with an average of 150 views per live sports event. The highest event viewed to date was the USAO soccer home opener against UT-Brownsville, which boasts 950 views to date.

For fans the added bonus of video this year has helped keep the Drovers in the back of their minds and updates on all scoring plays.

Alumnus Blake Shockley, a 2009 graduate, has taken advantage of the live stream for soccer and can’t wait to use it once baseball season starts.

“I liked watching the games via video since I couldn’t actually make it to any of the games, “ Shockley said. “I’m glad that USAO is airing our games via live stream since I love keeping up with our USAO Drovers.”

The spring live broadcast schedule is as follows:
