CHICKASHA – Senior pitcher Caleb Martin has broken a couple major pitching records in the last few months and has helped lead the Drovers to a strong 20-11 start.
“This season, it’s been going really great so far,” Martin said. “(The coaches) have got us ready. They did a tremendous job all fall by just making us work as hard as we possibly could without pushing anybody over the limit.”
Martin is 7-1 so far this season and has served as a leader to the younger players on the 2011 pitching staff.
With just a few games left in his college career, Martin is looking forward to the future, but admits that after five years at USAO, he will be a life-long Drover.
“I’ll be coming to USAO Drover games for a long time,” Martin said. “I’m definitely going to support the program for years to come.”
