2013: Adams was the Drovers’ starting catcher in nearly every game of the season as a redshirt sophomore. At the plate, he was a strong batter, averaging .307 and recording 46 hits on the season. He was second on the team in doubles with 15. Also solid behind the plate, Adams ended the season with a fielding percentage of .990. Adams is one of two returning starters for the 2014 season. Against Bacone, Adams hit a walk-off two-RBI homer in a late rally for the win.
2012: In his redshirt freshman season, Adams split time behind the plate, playing in 22 games for the Drovers. With 18 hits off of 57 at bats, he finished the season with a batting average of .316. He hit home runs in games against Saint Mary and Lubbock Christian. For the season, he scored a total of five runs.
High School: Adams was named All-District and Academic All-Metro while playing for Cibola High School near Albuquerque, N.M. He had a .420 batting average and hit two home runs in high school.
Advice to Freshmen: Work hard and listen
