CHICKASHA– The Drovers fall to No. 2 LSU-Shreveport on the road Saturday night in a 93-83 fashion that saw the Drovers come close to catching the lead.

USAO (0-2) tied the score four times during the game, and the lead changed hands six times before the final buzzer sounded.

The leading scorer for the Drovers was newcomer Tyler Reynolds, who scored 24 points off the bench for the team. Along with his point value, he had six rebounds to finish his 10-for-16 shooting night.

The second leading scorer for the Drovers was newcomer Markens Charles, who had 16 points on 5-for-8 shooting. He grabbed six assists to pace the team in that category for the Drovers.

The Drovers largest lead was five points coming at the 17:43 mark in the first half. During the game, USAO shot 45 percent from the field.

USAO forced 15 turnovers on Saturday, which directly allowed the Drovers to score 11 points to keep pace with the Pilots.

After two road games, the Drovers finally will get the first chance to be in front of the home crowd. The home opener is set against NCAA Division II University of Central Oklahoma at 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

It will be USAO’s Student Activities Board Homecoming, and SAB will be crowning its Homecoming King and Queen at halftime.
