MUSTANG – With cake, balloons and a group of fans, Mustang High School’s Graham Faulkner signed his official letter of intent Tuesday to play basketball for the University of Science and Arts. Mustang’s leading scorer, Faulkner is the Drovers’ first signee of the recruiting season.

“Graham is a fabulous shooter with great range and very good court awareness,” USAO head coach Brisco McPherson said. “He plays with a lot of confidence and is also a superb free throw shooter and passer. He just knows how to play the game.”

Faulkner averaged 17 points per game as a senior and shot over 50 percent from the floor. In addition to hitting 32 percent from 3-point land and 75 percent from the line last season, the 5-foot-10 shooting guard boasts a GPA over 3.5 and a 26 ACT.

USAO is looking to reload after two straight trips to the NAIA National Tournament. The team lost 10 seniors from last year’s team.
