The Drovers forced an upset in a Saturday afternoon game against No. 13 Southern Nazarene to close out the semester.
Against the highly-ranked Crimson Storm, the Drovers came out strong and dominant, grabbing the lead less than a minute into the game and holding it the entire 40 minutes.
The Drovers were up by as much as 17 early in the second half before winning it 85-75.
USAO’s Kyle Hunt had his third double double of the season, grabbing 20 points and 13 rebounds. Also scoring big were Brandon Cutler with 17 and Norris Rumph with 16.
The Drovers shot more than 57 percent from the field in Saturday’s game.
The win propels the Drovers to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. They will break for the winter holiday before returning to SAC action at 3 p.m. Dec. 31 against Wayland Baptist.
