OKLAHOMA CITY – Even with three players in double figures, the Drover men’s basketball team couldn’t overcome the Mid-America Christian Evangels on the road on Saturday afternoon.

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (3-5, 0-1) fell short with a 93-73 decision against the Evangels (6-1, 2-0) and will look for a first conference win when the Drovers return to action in 2014 on Jan. 2 at John Brown.

On Saturday, USAO newcomer Tyler Reynolds led the team with 21 points, shooting 33 percent from the field. Additionally, he recorded four steals and three assists.

Kennis White nearly had a back-to-back-to-back double-doubles, finishing the game with 16 points and a team-leading nine rebounds. He also had three assists in the game.

Senior Shavon Scott had 11 point and five rebounds in Saturday’s game.

USAO will get nearly a month off during winter break, and will return to action on the road at John Brown to open the New Year. Their next home game will be on Jan. 4 against Saint Gregory’s. Tip off is scheduled for 5 p.m.

It is USAO’s annual City Workers Night and city workers in Chickasha and surrounding communities will enjoy free admission to the game. USAO will broadcast that game live in high definition on USAO's athletic website.

The USAO-Oklahoma Baptist game, originally scheduled for Dec. 5, was rescheduled due to weather. A reschedule date has not yet been determined.
