CHICKASHA – Senior Kyle Hunt led the Drovers to a first conference win on Saturday against Mid-America Christian in a home battle.

Grabbing his second double double of the season, Hunt scored a whopping 36 points and had 16 rebounds in the 95-89 win over the Evangels. He led the team in both categories after going 13 for 17 from the field and scoring 10 of his 12 free throws.

Also scoring the double digits were Norris Rumph, who had 20 points, and Phillip Harris, who ended the game with 11.

The Drovers grabbed the lead quickly against Mid-America and held it the rest of a game, save for a few ties. Throughout the game, USAO shot 53.3 percent.

The win gives the Drovers an overall record of 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. They play their next conference game at 4 p.m. Saturday at home against Southern Nazarene.
