CHICKASHA– After an impressive performance in the regular season and an equal notable performance in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament, Tyler Reynolds was named to the All-SAC Tournament team.
Reynolds joins six other athletes on the team as the lone representative from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma after averaging 22.3 points per game, including a career-high 26 in the SAC Semifinals against No.22 Wayland Baptist.
“I thought Tyler should have been a part of the SAC All-Conference teams, but I’m happy he made the All-Tournament Team,” Head Coach Vinson Metcalf said. “He played well, and it was well deserved.”
Along with his points per game, he averaged six rebounds a game and contributed 16 combined assists through three games.
The other members of the All-SAC tournament team were the teams who participated in the SAC Finals. Reynolds was the only member from the tournament team not playing in the finals.
The other team members included from SAC Champions Oklahoma Baptist, Hayden Drast who was named MVP of the tournament, his teammates Aaron Abram and Cale Jackson.
The other team members came from SAC Runner Up, WBU including Markus Monroe, Royal Crouch and Barry Johnson.
Reynolds is a physical education senior from Eugene, Ore., and is the son of Edward and Lori Reynolds.
