OKLAHOMA CITY – The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (11-13, 8-9) was looking to sweep Oklahoma City, a team that is receiving votes nationally, but ultimately fell 81-64 on the road Thursday evening.
The Drovers got into foul trouble early, seeing three players with four fouls for most of the game and sending the Stars to the line 39 times.
Despite the fouls, the game was a back and forth battle for the majority of play as the Drovers and Stars exchanged the lead six times and tied it eight times.
Tyler Reynolds was the Drovers’ leading scorer on Thursday. He knocked in 25 points after a perfect performance at the charity stripe going 5-for-5 and 2-for-6 beyond the arc.
Jahseth Lloyd had 11 and added three steals and two blocks in the game.
Shavon Scott led the way with seven rebounds and contributed seven points on the game. David Tucker had a team-high four assists while also scoring seven points in the game.
The next game for the Drovers will be against Southwestern Christian on Saturday with tip off at 5 p.m. It will be Alumni Day at the USAO Fieldhouse and all USAO, OCW and OCLA alumni get in free to the game.
Just days later, the Drovers will celebrate its final home game of the season at 8 p.m. Tuesday against Texas Wesleyan. It will be Senior Night and both teams will honor its USAO basketball seniors.
