CHICKASHA – The Drovers came from behind to beat Cameron University in an exhibition game on Saturday night at USAO Fieldhouse.

Just minutes into the game, the Drovers fell to a 14-point deficit against the Division II Aggies. By the end of the game, USAO had turned that into a 12-point lead, winning the game 68-56.

Senior Thomas Peters was the Drovers’ highest scorer with 19 points after sinking a third of his field goals and nearly half of his three-pointers.

Ephraim Kelley and Phillip Harris scored another 14 and 15 points respectively. Sahlih Butts was the team’s highest rebounder with 12 rebounds to go along with his 12 points.

Because the game was an exhibition, statistics do not count for or against either team or any of the players. The Drovers hold their 4-5 record.

It was Local Media Appreciation Night and people who worked in Chickasha local media and their families got in free.

The Drovers will play their next game after the school’s winter break. They will take on Northwestern Oklahoma State at home on Jan. 1. Tip off is at 8 p.m. For New Years Day, Drover fans will dress up in their favorite decade, with the best costume winning a grand prize.
