BETHANY – The Drovers came in to their second meet to improve on their times from the previous meet and they did just that on Saturday morning at the OCU Fall Classic.

With each runner improving on the first meet’s time, it was first time runner for the Drovers Robert Dupoint, who had the best for the team in Saturdays 6-kilometer race.

Dupoint came in with a time of 21:55.38, which was good enough for a sixth place finish at the Fall Classic.

Elias Poolaw, freshman from Anadarko, also ran his first race of the season, and he came in eighth place with a time of 22:32.33.

The other three runners from USAO bested their previous meets time with an average of coming in four minutes quicker than at UCO Land Run.

Richard Murray came in with a time of 23:05.25, followed by Kieran Brennan who had a time of 24:11.67. Sophomore Jeffery Poolaw finished in 25:09.46.

The Drovers all together came in with a time of 1:56:54.09, which averages out to a 23:22.82. The Drovers finished second to Oklahoma City University.

The Drovers next meet will take place at 8 a.m. on Sept. 28 in Stillwater for the annual Cowboy Jamboree.
