CHICKASHA – The men’s cross country team came out at the OBU Invitational on Saturday, to build on the momentum they got at the previous meet in the OSU Cowboy Jamboree.

The Drovers did just that by having all members beating their previous 8-kilometer time of the season.

The Drovers placed three runners at the race, which doesn’t qualify them for a team score, as a team must have five runners to receive team points.

The lead runner for the Drovers was Elias Poolaw, who scored his best 8-kilometer time of the season with a time of 30:37.

Matthew Crow who was a runner for USAO last year ran his first race of the season and was the second Drover to come in at the race with a time of 31:57.

Jeffery Poolaw ran his best 8-kilometer time of the year with 34:04, which is one second better than his previous best.

The next meet for the Drovers takes place on Oct. 26 in Winfield, Kan., at the NAIA Mid-States Classic.

This meet will be the last tune up for the Drovers before running at the Sooner Athletic Conference meet on Nov. 9 in Shawnee.
