A Drover goalkeeper was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week after getting five saves last week.

Freshman goalie Ryan McEntee, of Glasgow, Scotland, had three saves against John Brown University on Saturday and two against Rogers State University Oct. 20, earning him the SAC Player of the Week title. Both games were shut outs. McEntee has had seven shutouts in 10.5 games played, and he has given up only six goals all year long. Lead Assistant Coach Alexis Vizarelis said McEntee works hard in practice and plays consistently. “He’s conference record speaks for himself. He’s only allowed one goal in conference,” he said. “He takes a lot of pride in his goalkeeping. … I’m really pleased with him as a coach. I’m pleased with the honor.” This is the first time McEntee has received the Defensive Player of the Week honor. Along the McEntee, the Drover men are No. 1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference with a 6-0 conference record. They were ranked 22nd in the NAIA on Tuesday morning with an overall record of 13-1.
