CHICKASHA – After fighting a tough battle against a strong team and rallying for a tie, the Drovers were not able to overcome the No. 21 Bethel University Wildcats.

The Drovers, who were ranked 23rd in the country going into the game, fell behind in the first half and went into halftime down 1-0. Shortly after the half started, Bethel grabbed another, but with less than 15 minutes left in the game, the Drovers rallied from behind to force a tie.

USAO’s first goal came off a penalty kick by senior Dusan Rasovic. Just minutes later, Rasovic whizzed a second one by the Wildcat keeper from a free kick.

Unfortunately, USAO was not able to keep the tie and a third Bethel goal ended the game in regulation.

The Drovers are 2-2. They head to Friends University in Kansas to play at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The team takes on Ottawa University days later before returning home for the conference opener on Sept. 27.
