CHICKASHA – Facing Wayland Baptist for a second time this season, the Drovers seemed to have no trouble against the eighth-seeded Pioneers in the Sooner Athletic Conference Quarterfinals.

A 3-1 win sends the Drovers to the semifinals, where they will host Oklahoma Baptist at 2 p.m. Monday at Drover Pitch.

The winner of Monday’s match will go on to play the winner of a game between Lubbock Christian and Rogers State for the SAC Tournament Title.

Earlier this season, the Drovers went into double overtime with Wayland Baptist before coming out victorious, but Friday afternoon, USAO had no trouble.

Coming out with a goal 21 minutes into the game was Perry Sansford, off an assist by Nicolas Alberto. It was another 20 minutes before the Drovers increased their lead as freshman Nat Scott scored his first collegiate goal. Graham Hunter assisted that play.

Shortly after the second half began, a foul in the box gave Pioneer Saman Hassan a penalty kick and a goal.

USAO solidified its win 15 minutes later when Scott Parkinson scored a goal off an assist by Chris Lee. The Drovers won 3-1.

The Drovers outshot their opponents 29-3. Keeper Bryan Byars had two saves in the game.

Live stats from the SAC Semifinal game at Drover Pitch will be available here.
