CHICKASHA– After 90 minutes of play in regulation, the Drovers and Cavaliers headed into overtime to decide the match. The game was even until late in the second overtime when the Drovers scored the 1-0 victory.
The Drovers (6-4, 3-1) only goal came from Nicolas Alberto who created space in left side of the box and turned to take the shot into right side of the goal.
This game was the third overtime game for the Drovers on the season and win number one in those games.
Both teams were evenly matched taking shot for shot until the Drovers took a slight advantage in the overtime sessions.
The final shot count ended in the Drovers favor with a 17-10 advantage, in the overtime periods the Drovers took a 5-1 advantage for both periods.
Bryan Byars (6-4) notched his fourth shutout of the season, while only saving two shots of the three that came his way. The third shot on goal was saved by Phil Pryor who was in the way of the shot on goal.
The Drovers next game will be on the road against Northwood University on Tuesday October 15 at 3 p.m.
The next home game for the Drovers is Saturday October 19 and will be taking on number 20 Texas Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
