CHICKASHA – Anchoring a back line that had two shutouts and serving as one of USAO’s leading scorers in two conference games earned Scott Parkinson the Sooner Athletic Conference Defensive Player the Week award.

In a 5-0 home win over Rogers State, Parkinson and the back line limited the Hillcats to just two shots on goal in the entire game. Additionally, Parkinson knocked two goals in himself and had an assist in the shutout.

Days later on the road at John Brown, the line held their opponents to just four shots on goal in the 1-0 win.

So far this season, Parkinson had five goals and two assists.

He is the Drovers’ fourth SAC Player of the Week in the season and third player in a row to win.

Parkinson is a physical education sophomore from Liverpool, England. He is the son of James and Susan Parkinson.
